THE ARTIST

Art has always been my first reaction; when something gives me light, I feel an urge to collect it, physically or with a snap from my phone. I find art my way to share that light. I completed my BFA from Covenant College and now live in Chattanooga, TN.

While my source of inspiration cycles between nature, spaces, and anything bright I consistently paint with vivid colors, blocky shapes and a sense of movement or urgency. Whether through the neon orange of a landscape or dramatic pose of a hand, I gravitate toward creating pieces that grab your attention. I also see ties to my southern heritage through my landscapes or nature-inspired works. As I paint, I hope to create colorful spaces to delight in or familiar places that spring up lost memories.
